PR uses of Social Media

When initiating and running a Public Relations Campaign for clients, Many different platforms are used to get the objectives of the campaign accomplished. Among the many platforms, are Facebook and Twitter. For example, when utilizing Twitter, Campaigns can create a hashtag to increase exposure of the campaign. in addition, Facebook users tend to tag their friends and family members in virtually anything from a funny commercial to a private photographic memory. If enough exposure is given to a PR campaign for a client, the odds of the campaign going “viral” are increased tenfold.

Usage of these platforms though, do not come without their fair share of mis-usage. For example, I found an article online from Forbes saying that most PR professionals “jump on twitter without the knowledge of how to use it.”
